Discard
What it means
The 'discard' is the abrupt end phase — sudden coldness, a new partner appearing overnight, or you being told you were 'never really that important.' It can feel devastating and disorienting after love bombing and devaluation. It's often not the last contact — many discards are followed by a hoover weeks or months later.
What it can look like
Overnight, they're distant. Within a week they've moved out, changed their story, and posted photos with someone new. You're left wondering if any of it was real. It was — for you.
